About Us
IMAGINING TOMORROW was created by Mary Essary (MKE Group). Ms. Essary's background is in sales and marketing, working in the photonics industry.
Her experience with clean energy dates from her childhood on a family farm in Iowa, where water was supplied from a tank filled by a mechanical windmill. Her revelatory moment about how earth systems worked was in graduate school when an autocorrelation analysis of rain in the Bay Area unveiled a sine wave oscillation on a five-year cycle; the system spent the least amount of time at the "average."
She believes that our science education needs to continue to progress in order to reach a better balance between teaching about reductionist 19th century mechanics and teaching about the dynamic, non-linear systems that make up the real world. She greatly admires the solar energy storage cell developed by Mother Nature, the chloroplast, as well as its implementation and success in terra forming our planet.
